Indian Fairy Tales
I am always searching of old fairy tales that are lesser known and have been forgotten. While searching for new (old) stories for our school, I came across Joseph Jacobs’ Indian Fairy Tales, published in 1892. Illustrations are by John D. Batten. The fairy and folk tales of the Indian subcontinent have served as a historical cradle for many of the world's most enduring myths. These tales are full of animism, clever animals, magic rings, and profound moral lessons.
